Our U14s Grizzlies team put in a great battling performance on Sunday 6th April, but their playoff campaign in the NWRL comes to an end as Myerscough Juniors took the win.
Myerscough came into the game as hot favourites after going through their season with a perfect undefeated record. However, after a fast start from the hosts, the young Grizzlies put in an awesome performance to battle back into the game and show just what they are made of.
Although the team pushed all the way to the end, Myerscough did enough to see out the game and progress in the Playoffs.
The Grizzlies can hold their heads up high though, giving the talented and experienced opposition one of their toughest games of the whole season.
Coach Tom was once again proud of the team; "The performance and character shown by the team was another example of just how far they have come this season - competing in two different leagues, with many of our team playing their debut season in basketball - showing true Grizzlies character and quality throughout."
