The Grizzlies U16s made it back-to-back wins in the NBL on Sunday 16th March, coming away victorious after a strong performance against Bury-based Lancashire Spinners.
After what was a close first quarter, the Grizzlies turned up the heat in Q2 to build a big lead going into half time, pressing and breaking well and finishing clinically under the basket.
The team then kept up the pressure on the Spinners to stretch the lead further in the 2nd half, and despite the Spinners hitting some nice shots from range to close the gap, the Grizzlies kept the scoring going to close out the game for a commanding 33-66 win.
Coach Ryan Anderson said; “Our first game earlier in the season against the Spinners was one we should have won, so the team wanted to put it right today. We pressed well for long periods and got our rewards.”

MVP was awarded to Reuben, who alongside having an outstanding overall game hit the Grizzlies' first dunk of the season!
